WORKSHOP OUTLINE
This workshop is intended as a forum for researchers from different scientific areas such as bioinformatics, biostatistics and systems biology, who share a common interest in the statistical analysis and modeling of biological systems and their applications in medical research. The workshop has established itself as an interaction hub for computational biology groups situated all over Germany and Europe. The workshop especially encourages the active participation of young scientists.
The workshop is organized in 4 sessions:
- Session 1: Dynamical modelling → Keynote Speaker: Thilo Figge (Leibniz Institute for Natural Product Research and Infection Biology, HKI Jena)
- Session 2: Open topics → Keynote Speaker: Markus Löffler (IMISE, LIFE, University of Leipzig)

WORKSHOP VENUE
The workshop will be hosted at the Rittersaal (1st floor) at the Institute for Medical Informatics, Statistics and Epidemiology (IMISE), Härtelstraße 16-18, 04107 Leipzig. The institute is easily accessible by public transport. For details please check the web page of our institute.
We recommend you not to get here by car due to a long-term construction site at nearby main street "Karl-Liebknecht-Straße/Peterssteinweg".
